She began studying the art of writing at the age of fourteen and was inspired to become a writer after she wrote her first book at twelve years old. Irina has worked as a journalist for "Healthy Life" magazine, written articles for such publications as "Yoga Journal" and "Mothering Magazine", and has been published in such anthologies as The Happy Writer's Guide to the Universe.
